Overview:

This CLE outline walks a DUI case from the moment of arrest through sentencing, organized the way a trial attorney actually encounters it: (I) the immediate administrative fallout of the arrest itself; (II) what defense counsel should investigate before discovery arrives; (III) how to mine body-camera and written discovery once it arrives; (IV) a four-step framework for analyzing any DUI case for trial; and (V) a sentencing and license-consequence matrix, offense by offense. A closing practice-notes section highlights where plea-negotiation leverage lives.
